A few updates...

In math, we are learning about the mode, median, mean and range of a series of numbers. Here is a catchy tune to help you remember what they are:

In science, (PM class only) there will be a science test this Wednesday, Nov. 2nd on the circulatory system, nervous system and skeletal system. Use the review as a study guide. Good luck!

  • Picture day and pizza day on Wednesday (We'll try to keep those faces clean)
  • Costume day and Dance-a-thon on Friday (Get those pledges)

We are beginning our first novel study. The book Loser, by Jerry Spinelli, is a wonderful story about a boy making his way through grade school and he finds out what he he is really good at is being a good person. Here is the e-book if your child needs to get caught up on work.

Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend! A few important dates coming up:


  • Tomorrow we are having a short quiz on what we have covered in number patterns so far (decreasing, increasing and alternating)
  • Tues., Oct. 18th we will be having the Patterning Unit test (number patterns, Input/Output machines, geometric patterns and word problems)
  • A review for the test will be going home this Thursday
